The Black Salami Micro bakery

A cinematic portrait of The Black Salami Micro bakery, a vibrant, young bakery in Exarchia, Athens founded by bread-enthusiast Antonis Kazakos and Greek-Italian master baker Bruno Pezzia. They opened their doors in October 2021, out of necessity to create work opportunities during the economic crisis and covid pandemic. Founder Antonis Kazakos tries work in a non-hierarchical way, managing as little as possible and giving employees the freedom to be creative and do what they love. His vision is to let a business evolve like a living organism, constantly changing and evolving to adapt to it’s circumstances. And it works. The moment it opened its doors, Black Salami became an instant hit. In this film we explore how their approach works and why.
